All-red showgirl costume only – no other colours or trims

✅ Costume must be danceable – we’ll be on outdoor concrete
Arrive in full hair and makeup, with SPF under your foundation
Bring water and a cover-up to wear before/after filming – keep the surprise dramatic (and avoid spooking the dog walkers)
About Filming:
You must learn the choreography in advance.
There will be no revision on the day. You’ll receive a video from Martini straight to your inbox - watch it, learn it, dazzle it.
We’ll be running approximately 8 takes of the routine to ensure we capture every glittery angle, reaction, and hair flick. You may appear in the background of specialty shots, so please stay present, in position, and performance-ready, even when you're not the focus.
(Drone tip: Don’t look at it. Don’t wave at it. Just be fabulous.)
Good to Know:
This event is open to all Bombshell students, past and present - no minimum skill level required, just a willingness to learn and bring the energy

FAQ:
Q: Do I really have to learn the choreography before the day?
A: Yes. Really. 100%. There will be no revision or breakdown on the day - just a quick group run-through before filming. Martini’s video gives you everything you need, so start learning now and give it a few practice runs in costume-friendly shoes!
Q: What kind of costume do I need?
A: The theme is ALL RED SHOWGIRL. That means no other colours - no silver trims, black shoes, or sneaky sequins in other shades.
Your costume could include:
Bra, corset, bodysuit or bustier
Knickers, garter belts, gloves, bustle, skirt
Feather headdress or headpiece
Nude stockings (if worn)
Shoes must be silver, gold, or nude
❌ No black shoes
❌ No visible pasties
✅ Must be danceable
And yes—you’ll need to arrive with hair and stage makeup already done.
Q: Do I need to wear SPF?
A: YES! We’ll be filming outdoors and the sun is not your friend when you’re covered in rhinestones. Please wear SPF under your makeup so you can stay fabulous and protected.
Q: Can I get changed at the venue?
A: Please arrive fully dressed and ready. There are no change rooms, and time is tight. If you’re travelling in costume, wear a cover-up so you don’t reveal the look too early (and so we don’t alarm the locals).
Q: What time should I arrive?
A: You can arrive from 3:00pm, and filming starts at 3:30pm sharp. That means you need to be ready to go by the time you step out of the car. Don’t be late - we’ll be losing the light!
Q: What happens on the day?
A: We’ll do a quick group rehearsal, then film approximately 8 takes of the routine across different camera angles. You might be in the foreground or background, depending on the shot - but you’ll always need to be performance-ready.

Gimbal tracking
Drone footage
A 360° group take
And behind-the-scenes content from the moment you arrive
Stills will also be taken by the wonderful Lachlan (@somefx) throughout the afternoon.
Q: Should I expect to dance the routine more than once?
A: Yes - you’ll be dancing it multiple times across the filming window (approx. 8 takes total). Be ready to bring the energy again and again, we’re capturing every angle of your fabulousness.

Q: Can friends or family watch?
A: This is a closed filming set, so only participating Bombshells will be allowed into the amphitheatre space. No audience, just the magic makers.
Q: What if it rains?
A: If the weather gets wild, we’ll be in touch via email with an updated plan. But September is historically cloudy-but-beautiful, and we’re manifesting perfect golden hour lighting.
Q: Will I get a copy of the video & photos?
A: Yes! You’ll receive a downloadable copy of the final edited video & photos to keep and share. The video will also be shared on Bombshell Burlesque Academy’s social media!
Q: What’s the deadline to book?
A: Bookings close at 11:59pm on Sunday 24th August 2025.
