We all know we need to be peer pressured into stretching consistently. Join Martini for a weekly class focused on mobility, flexibility, and working towards the splits through simple, repeatable stretches.

Get back to our classic glamour roots with this slinky and bold number set to Etta James’s I Just Wanna Make Love to You. Gowns, gloves and a good old pinch of audacity will be the theme of our term.

BEGINNER NEO (MODERN STYLE) BURLESQUE
Dive into the theatrical world of Neo burlesque with this campy new routine to the Brian Setzer Orchestra’s version of Americano! We’ll cover all the basics of burlesque, but ensure we’ve got plenty of tongue-in-cheek in the mix to keep your interests piqued! While the song sounds fast, this routine is absolutely beginner and open level friendly.

THE CATBIRD SEAT: ONLINE ACT COACHING

Someone in “The Catbird Seat” is in a position of advantage and that’s exactly where you’ll be by the end of this course.

You can access this act development program from anywhere in the world, guided by Lila Luxx – an Australian burlesque doyenne who has successfully mentored emerging & professional performers to achieving their personal performance goals and crowns.

 

This 6-week online coaching program is designed for intermediate and advanced performers developing (or refining) one or more acts who want expert guidance without the weekly studio commitment. With structured feedback, access to proven creative frameworks, mentorship and accountability, you’ll keep your work progressing without needing to step foot in the studio.

Whether you want to take to the stage, build your confidence or learn some techniques for everyday life, this class is for you. Beginner Burlesque will teach you the basics of the art of the tease! From walking with poise, confidence (and a little bit of attitude), to a routine with boas that lets you step into the glittery world you've been dreaming of, burlesque performer Cello Bordello will teach you the techniques of the tease and how to have a bit more fun with the body you've been blessed with, in a fun, comfortable environment with like-minded students.

HEADLINERS: Act Development Masterclass

This masterclass is designed for students with several burlesque classes under their belts; the ones who are on the cusp of creating a solo act and hitting stages! This class is ideal for soloists, duos or groups who want to create a new act or polish an existing one. During the course, your tutor will work one on one with you to bring out your performance potential, guiding you step by step through act creation while developing your onstage persona. Headliners also includes practical theory on how to get booked, managing social media, budgeting, building an effective website and more! 

Please note: Headliners is not suitable for aerial, pole, large prop, wet mess, or sideshow/danger act development.

THE SIMPSON'S SHOWGIRLS
Fancy a hefty dose of camp nostalgia with your showgirl glamour? You’ve got it! Welcome to Springfield’s own burlesque saloon ‘La Maison Derrière’! Using ‘We Put The Spring In Springfield’ from The Simpson’s soundtrack, we will pay homage to this iconic animated '90s showgirl moment. Expect purple, pink and a hint of yellow showgirl costumes, learning classic showgirl poses and lines and drawing on campy comedy. This is a class where you can be glamorous and have fun!

SLOW BURN CHIFFONOGRAPHY
Forties Femme Fatale, Film Noir vibes are calling your name! Join Mara Maraschino in this slow burn chiffonography routine where you become one with the smoky, seductive classic ‘Nightmare' by Artie Shaw. Learn how a strong stage presence, tracing and breathing paired with sheer, smoky black chiffon can strike a thrilling allure in the heart of the audience. You’ll learn impossibly glamorous conceal and reveal techniques and as well as techniques for harnessing your own unique stage persona.

VOCAL VAMP: CAUGHT ON FILM
Never know how much I love you… Under the guidance of cabaret queen Lizzie Moore, this six-week vocal class turns down the lights and turns up the heat with one of the most smouldering songs ever recorded - Fever. In 1958, Peggy Lee’s sizzling recording brought the world to its knees. Now it’s your turn. Expect slow burn vocals, sensual microphone technique, and the kind of stillness that makes a camera lean in. You’ll be performing to camera in small groups, old Hollywood screen test style – because some songs deserve a close-up. Utterly captivating, effortlessly cool, and absolutely combustible.

1960 SOFT GAL GOGO
You are so wonderfully wonderfully wonderfully pretty so why not show it off? Slip into your softest, sassiest self in this dreamy 1960s inspired GoGo dance class set to The Lovecats by The Cure. Combining playful vintage movement and feline flirtation, this class explores fancy footwork and soft girl attitude with a goth pop twist. Think kitten heels, teased hair, and the purrrrrrrfect amount pussy. Perfect for all levels of dance and experience.

Enter the Pussy Palace! No boys allowed! Inspired by the burn it all down with poetry era of Lily Allen, this routine blends sultry struts, flirty grooves, and unapologetic self-expression with a healthy dose f*xk that guy. PRIVATE LESSONS

Private coaching can often be the key to taking your concept or stage persona to the next level!

These sessions can focus on narrative, choreography development, presentation & performance skills, polishing and refining an existing act, creating a new routine or competition prep. Past students coached by our tutors include winners of Miss Burlesque Queensland, Miss Burlesque Brisbane, Miss Burlesque Gold Coast, Miss Burlesque Perth, Burlesque Idol Brisbane, Burlesque Idol Newcastle, title holders of the Miss Pinup Australia competition and many more.

Whether you are working on an existing act, creating something new, developing your persona or preparing for competition season our tutors are here to help you think out of the box, calm your nerves, meet criteria and have you bumping and grinding bigger and better than ever!

IN STUDIO PRIVATE LESSONS: $120 per 1hr session for bookings up to the 31st August, increasing to $140/hr from 1st September 2026

PREPARE: Pen & Notebook, ipod with headphones, inspiration (pictures, books, movies, drawings etc), costume ideas, music, props and anything else relevant to your act. If you’re working on a competition act, please have the rules with you.
