Yippee ki yay, motherf**ker! If tinsel, sleigh bells and wholesome Christmas cheer aren’t your thing, join us for a Die Hard inspired routine where we’ll channel our inner John McClane, crawling through air vents, dodging broken glass and wreaking a little havoc at the work Christmas Party. Die Hard is a Christmas movie.

VOCAL VAMPS - Workin' It 9 to 5
Under the guidance of cabaret queen Lizzie Moore, this six-week vocal and dance class is a love letter to the queen of working women everywhere, Ms Dolly Parton. We'll be singing our hearts out to 9 to 5 and dancing our way through Rihanna's Work. Dolly never apologised for being exactly who she was, so we're taking notes and clocking off in style. After hours? Entirely our business. Power suits, big hair, and enough ambition to fill every cup. Tumble in, suit up, and work it.

You can access this act development program from anywhere in the world, guided by Lila Luxx – an Australian burlesque doyenne who has successfully mentored emerging & professional performers to achieving their personal performance goals and crowns.

 

This 6-week online coaching program is designed for intermediate and advanced performers developing (or refining) one or more acts who want expert guidance without the weekly studio commitment. HEADLINERS: Act Development Masterclass
Are you ready to create your burlesque persona and make your solo debut?

This masterclass is designed for students with several burlesque classes under their belts; the ones who are on the cusp of creating a solo act and hitting stages! This class is ideal for soloists, duos or groups who want to create a new act or polish an existing one. During the course, your tutor will work one on one with you to bring out your performance potential, guiding you step by step through act creation while developing your onstage persona. Headliners also includes practical theory on how to get booked, managing social media, budgeting, building an effective website and more!

Please note: Headliners is not suitable for aerial, pole, wet mess, large prop, or sideshow/danger act development.

FEMME FATALE FLOOR PLAY
Bring out your inner sexy and learn sultry moves that are sure to have you melting across the floor. This class takes you through the art of seduction as you learn floorwork in ways that will make anyone’s jaw drop. Learn basic to intermediate skills in moves, transitions and body articulation with a focus on attitude with a routine to 'Before I Ever Met You' by BANKS. Get ready to floor it on the floor!

GOOD PUSS - Punk Pussycats
Set to COBRAH’s “GOOD PUSS,” this intermediate neo-burlesque routine unleashes a pack of filthy little felines with claws out and no interest in being owned. Think leather, latex, purple, punk attitude and feral cat energy - sharp choreography, feline movement, bratty sensuality and plenty of bad behaviour. These pussycats don’t sit, stay or come when they’re called. No masters. No owners. No obedience.

In this class we will be learning dance moves fit for a night at Studio 54. Studio 54 was the epicentre of 1970s nightlife, famous for its intoxicating mix of A list celebrity glamour and unbridled sexual hedonism. Behind its velvet ropes, New Yorks elite mingled with drag queens, artists and everyday party goers in a glittering, lawless sanctuary of nocturnal excess. Private coaching can often be the key to taking your concept or stage persona to the next level!

These sessions can focus on narrative, choreography development, presentation & performance skills, polishing and refining an existing act, creating a new routine or competition prep. Past students coached by our tutors include winners of Miss Burlesque Queensland, Miss Burlesque Brisbane, Miss Burlesque Gold Coast, Miss Burlesque Perth, Burlesque Idol Brisbane, Burlesque Idol Newcastle, title holders of the Miss Pinup Australia competition and many more.

Whether you are working on an existing act, creating something new, developing your persona or preparing for competition season our tutors are here to help you think out of the box, calm your nerves, meet criteria and have you bumping and grinding bigger and better than ever!

IN STUDIO PRIVATE LESSONS: $140 per 1hr solo session
