Terms & Conditions for Classes & Workshops

 

By enrolling in a class or workshop with The Bombshell Burlesque Academy, I confirm that I acknowledge, understand and agree with the below terms and conditions:

  • The Bombshell Burlesque Academy Classes are 18+ and by enrolling I am confirming that I am over 18 years of age.  Classes are open to all ages 18+, genders, races, sizes and fitness levels.

 

  • I am responsible for ensuring that I am medically fit for classes.

​

  • I understand that The Bombshell Burlesque Academy does not offer refunds.

​

  • Credits - If I have enrolled and notify The Bombshell Burlesque Academy in writing 7 days prior to term commencement, they can offer a class credit for the following term or the option to transfer the booking to another name by notifying The Bombshell Burlesque Academy in writing. I understand that class transfers or credits cannot be processed after this period. One off workshops are not eligible for credits.​

  • I release The Bombshell Burlesque Academy and it’s tutors against all costs incurred, expenses and all liabilities whatsoever that may arise as a result of my actions or tutors instructions during all activities and performances undertaken with The Bombshell Burlesque Academy.  The Bombshell Burlesque Academy takes all reasonable care in the conduct of its classes. It accepts no responsibility for injury or loss caused in or near the classes and/or studios.​

 

  • I understand that all classes are subject to change without notice. We will always endeavour to notify registered students with as much notice as possible before class changes however we highly recommend always checking your emails on the day of a class.  All classes require a minimum of 5 prepaid bookings in each class to proceed. If classes are cancelled due to insufficient enrolments, refunds will be processed back to your bank account or can be applied as a credit to another workshop/class.

 

  • I understand that any choreography taught in classes remains the exclusive property of The Bombshell Burlesque Academy and the relevant tutor/s and may not be replicated or performed in full or part outside of authorised Bombshell Burlesque Academy activities without express written permission from The Bombshell Burlesque Academy.  Please email contact@bombshellacademy.com.au for further information.

 

  • The Bombshell Burlesque Academy aims to create a safe, welcoming, inclusive environment for all students, regardless of age (18+), gender, race, body type or fitness level.  To maintain this safe space, spectators are not permitted to watch or sit in on classes without participating.  We have a zero tolerance for bullying, intimidation, dangerous or discriminatory behavior, or for artists who take part in cultural appropriation.  You can read more on that here.

 

  • My email address will be added to The Bombshell Burlesque Academy mailing list so that I may receive information on classes, performance opportunities and workshops.  I may opt out of this at any time.

  • Any media or footage from classes or related performances remains the property of the The Bombshell Burlesque Academy. The Academy is entitled to use any media or footage from the event for any future promotions and/or advertising. All due care is taken to ensure that images of students published are chosen in "good taste" and any risque images are restricted.

​

  • The Bombshell Burlesque Academy is a proudly CovidSafe space and are required to be fully compliant with any current regulation, restriction or mandate issued by Queensland Health. No refunds will be provided if a student does not wish to comply and cannot participate due to scenarios including, but not limited to, the following:
     

    • If government restrictions allow classes to proceed in person with restrictions such as, masking, social distancing, vaccination status declarations or similar, refunds, credits or transfers will not be granted for those not wishing to take part.

    • If government restrictions require that classes cannot proceed in person, they will be delivered online in the same timeslot.

    • If performance opportunities cannot proceed, we will change to a filmed outcome or a new performance date.  Refunds, credits or transfers will not be granted to class bookings if performance outcomes change.

    • If the location or date of filmed or live performance outcomes have to be changed due to restrictions, refunds, credits or transfers of classes will not be granted.

  • In the event of government restrictions or any other emergency where the studio cannot be accessed by tutors and classes cannot proceed in person, they will be delivered online in the same timeslot.

  • ONLINE CLASSES: If there are technical issues on The Bombshell Academy end (eg. global platform outage) that prevent classes from running as scheduled, we will reschedule and advise our students of the new time.  We are unable to provide refunds if you experience technical, app or platform based problems specific to yourself and, as such, highly recommend reading your class description and testing your access at least a day in advance of your class.

Breaching any of the above terms & conditions will result in booking cancellation and refusal of entry to future classes/workshop/events.
